All finds acquired during an organised SWAAG activity, or on a designated SWAAG site shall (subject to the rights of the landowner or Coroner or Portable Antiquities Scheme) be the property of SWAAG and passed to a SWAAG Committee member at the earliest opportunity for safe-keeping and who shall record the find on the SWAAG database/HER record.

A “find” shall mean any article of archaeological, historical, geological or monetary value as determined by the SWAAG Committee or landowner or Coroner or Portable Antiquities Scheme.

An “organised SWAAG activity” shall mean any walk, surveying, field–walking,  geophysics, excavation or other targeted activity advertised on the SWAAG website.

A “designated SWAAG site” shall mean any location designated as such on the SWAAG website by the SWAAG Committee where “organised SWAAG activity” has been or is being undertaken.
